About Yuva Mastermind in , Kottayam

Yuva Mastermind Contest is for science and technology projects that can be exhibited as working models. Study projects that cannot be exhibited will not be considered.

Students of professional colleges in the state including medical and engineering, technical institutes like ITI and polytechnic and art and science colleges can participate under the college category. Students of 9th standard to Plus Two can compete under the school category. A team shall have a maxiumum of five students and a project guide who should be a teacher/lecturer in the same institution. Any number of teams from an institution can compete, but a team will be allowed to present only one project. The project should be completed within a period of three months.
Based on the short project description provided by teams and the interaction with them by an expert committee 25 teams would be selected from each category. The expert committee would select the winners after an exhibition.

The contest is being organised with technical support from Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of Amaljyothi Engineering College, Kanjirappally. Amaljyothi is the only college in the state which has been granted an IEDC by the central science and technology department.
