The situation in Kerala, is pretty bad for the Middle-Class people.(It has always been.)The very survival, in the context of the present economic explosion/recession, is unimaginable. Living is very expensive, where as they have to manage with a fixed minimum income.Education of the future generation is ill-affordable on many counts. Government Schools are no more popular ,for several reasons. Private Schools/English medium Schools are beyond the reach of this Category for reasons know to all.At the professional level, it remains a mere dream for the vast majority. At the same time, this section remains the cradle of Intelligence and Talents from time immemorial. Something has to be done to empower this section of the Society.
Marian career Guidance Centre in Maduravely,Kaduthuruthy,Kottaym Dt. is just a small effort on our part to do something in an organised way for this deserving Category. We have initiated an EVENING STUDY CENTRE to cater to the local need, since the concept of Boarding is fading out of Kerala. The kids come from 5pm to 8.30 pm. real serious study from 6 pm. to 8 pm, the rest of the time is well utilized for extracurricular activities like, Music,Signing,Computer, Yoga,Language Classes,Indoor games etc.
