Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (abbreviated as CS: GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Hidden Path Entertainment and Valve Corporation released on August 21, 2012. Counter Strike: Global Offensive is the fourth game of the immensely popular first person shooter Counter Strike franchises published by Valve Corporation. CS: GO involves ten players in two fractions (two opponent teams), called the Terrorist and the Counter Terrorist. The gameplay of a CS: GO match revolves around Terrorist side trying to plant a bomb on either of the two bomb sides while Counter Terrorists trying to oppose Terrorists from planning the bomb or defuse it if planted.

You might find it interesting that the first version of the Counter-Strike was released on June 19, 1999, thus making it one of the oldest competitive game franchise.
