About RCCIIT

RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) was established in the year 1999 as a collaborative venture of the Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India and the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal through an Autonomous Society formed by the Department of Higher Education. The Institute also received grants from the World Bank under the TEQIP-II project since 2011.

RCCIIT is an ISO 9001-2008 & ISO 14001-2004 Certified Institute. All courses are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology West Bengal (MAKAUT, WB); erstwhile WBUT.

Among the nine courses offered by RCCIIT, Kolkata; B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech in Information Technology are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.

The Institute has a well organized placement cell and also arranges for extensive training programme for the students.

The placement cell believes and focuses on the following:

1. Imparting technical knowledge and conceptual skills with a view to develop an integrated positive attitude directed towards problem solving.

2. Imparting Human relations, Social and Managerial skills for improving resource utilization.

3. Conduct extensive Grooming, Communications and Soft Skills Training programmes for all students throughout the year to enable students to improve and enhance their confidence and performance during interviews.

4. Interact and coordinate with potential and prospective employers for campus and off campus placements

The ultimate aim of the training & placement cell is to develop talents compatible with the Indian ethos and the needs and benefits of the industry and society.
