Society For Indian Children's Welfare or "SICW" as it is popularly known, has been in existence for the last 32 years. It is a registered organisation (Regn No. S/29637 of 1980-81) under the West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961.

It is a non-governmental organisation which started as an adoption agency in 1979.

With the experience gained in dealing with children, other programmes came into being through an evolutionary process where basic needs of underprivileged women and children in our society could be provided for.

Total transparency is maintained in the donation process and every support is receipted and deductible U/S 80 G.
