Everyone has ideas, or at least most people do. But needless to say, not everyone takes it upon himself/herself to really go that extra mile to take that idea forward, transform it into action, and make it count. There was a point when I was very young when I used to look at the malnourished children on the streets of India, living in abject conditions of poverty, or the disabled, imploring every other passerby to help them out - I’d look and just wonder why somebody didn’t do something to help them out. But as I grew older, it became apparent to me that I was that somebody. We all have the power to stir change, in the most minuscule of ways. The power to make a difference doesn’t exist in just one special person, or in one special place; it’s wherever someone is trying to find it. Embracing this idea, I was motivated to assist with projects at an NGO, Manav Seva Pratisthan, since a young age. This unremitting passion and desire to help the unprivileged engendered in me, a more ambitious desire - a desire to combine the two things I love most: event-managing and social service, which led to the formation of Cixth Cense.
