About Frankly Speaking Theatre Group in 68,Prantik Pally, Kolkata

Frankly speaking is a Theatre Group. Where a Bunch of young Boy’s & Girl’s are involved, they are trying to express themselves through Theatre. This is a very open hearted Theatre Group, where we can speak openly, dance, sing songs, eat together, and can share our emotions and problems. Above all ,we enjoy the time to its fullest when we are together.

Actually, our motive is, to promote our root culture. That is our Theatre. Theatre is a collective work, where “We” are our strength, and we have the “P” factor over here. That is POWER, PASSION, POSITIVITY.

‘Drama’ is an Ancient Greek word meaning ‘act’ or ‘deed’.
The Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle used this term in a very influential treatise called the Poetics. He used the term ‘drama’ to describe poetic compositions that were ‘acted’ in front of audiences in a Theatron.

Right now we are standing in the 21st century, and “ FRANKLY SPEAKING” believes that we have a right to say something about all the happenings. May it be political issues or may it be the daily problems of our life. We have a responsibility to concuss our society, neither by taking weapons nor through agitation but by giving simple enjoyment to satiate, the mental appetite.
