A student of Applied Arts, Malini Panjabi was awarded the Gold Medal in her college (Sophia Polytechnic) in the 4th and 5th year for Best Campaign and Overall performance. She also stood 8th in order of merit in the “Diploma in Applied Arts Exam “ conducted by the Directorate of Art, Maharashtra Board. She has worked with Lowe India (formerly known as Lintas India Limited) for 13 years and worked with multi-national clients such as Unilever (Signal,Close Up, Fair & Lovely, Pears), Cadbury’s (Mr. Pops, 5 Star), Britannia, ICI, Berger Paints, Reckitt & Benkiser and Bata India Limited. In the case of large Indian conglomerates she has had the opportunity to work with Shaw Wallace, The Oberoi Group and ITC Limited.

With the advent of boutique agencies opening up in India and the opportunities that large corporations offered for creative consultancy, Malini rose to the occasion and set up her own creative consultancy in 2000 with support from some of her Clients who bestowed their confidence on her to handle their key brands.

In a short spell of time, her business grew, and Clients demanded a more holistic solution to their Branding and Marketing problems, encouraged, she set up her own Agency in April 2004 by the name of Paper Tree. In an environment that has become more competitive and cost conscious Paper Tree’s single focus is to offer the Client the best solution to their needs at most competitive rates. This is achieved by working on projects with a group of specialists in diverse fields who offer their support on strategy, marketing plans, research etc., which keeps the overheads low but the end product quality high, ensuring that every client has access to the best possible resources for their requirements.

Today, Paper Tree specializes in graphic design, branding (corporate and product brand identity), packaging design, advertising, point of purchase aids, mnemonics, visual communication, retail branding, TV Commercials, Direct Mail etc.,
