Eligibility and classification of Members:

a) Any Medical Officer or Medical Doctor or Student of Post graduation/Post Doctoral Medical Science Courses , (Registered with Medical Council of the respective Country on the basis of his/her Medical Qualification which is recognized by World Health Organization and the institution or medical school from where the medical degree is awarded is listed under International Medical Education Directory (IMED) and recognized by World Health Organization (WHO) or as defined in the Indian Medical Degree Act, VII, 1916, or included in the Third schedule of The Indian Medical Council Act 1956) including the Medical Officers employed in the institutions taken over by the Health Department of Govt. of West Bengal or Central Government or wherever they are working presently in private or semi government or non government organization, or trainee or unemployed presently, but provided that he/she got his/her primary medical qualification or Post graduation or Post Doctoral degree abroad (not from India) will be eligible for Annual Membership after being approved by the Central Executive Committee.Even non medical professionals of any common people is also eligible of becoming member of the society provided he/she fullfills the objectives of the society subject to permission by the governing body.

b) An eligible person shall apply along with membership application forms and shall deposit in advance the subscription to be determined by the Association from time to time for the Category of Membership applied for. , He/ She shall be admitted into the Annual / Associate Membership by approval of the Central Executive Committee.
d) Persons eligible for Annual Membership may apply along with membership application form for Life Membership by paying a lump sum, at a time in lieu of yearly subscription to be determined by the Association from time to time. An Annual Member wishes to convert his/her membership in to Life Membership will also have to fill up a new membership application form.
e) Honorary Members - Any person of any discipline of science and art, any prominent public and social worker of the State having a record of outstanding activities for the cause of the society or whose contribution or attachment to the society may be useful to the society may be conferred Honorary Membership of the Association on recommendation from the Central Council at the General Meeting.

3. Register of Members:

The Society shall maintain a Register of Members containing the registration number of the respective member , names, addresses and their occupations, qualifications(degree or certificate copy which is obtained abroad) the date of admission and the date of cessation. The Register will be kept open for inspection of the members on requisition.

m)To acquire, establish, start, aid, run, maintain or manage educational institutes , libraries for the benefit of the public .
n)To arrange and organize lectures, debates, discussions, seminars and excursions for the diffusion of knowledge.
o)To publish or cause to publish useful literature, magazines , etc ,without profit motive.
p)To promote and encourage advancement of literary, cultural, political and scientific education.
q)To promote research in medical science.
r)To help the needy students of all communities for the prosecution of studies.
s)To help the aged, sick , helpless and indigent persons.
t)To import and develop Social awareness among the illiterate women and men by organizing awareness camps from time to time.
u)To organize an ambulance for rendering service to needy patients.
v)To establish and maintain basic and adult education centre to remove the illiteracy.
w)To open charitable dispensaries, first aid centre, blood donation camp , public health care centre in rural area ,day care centre , trauma centre from time to time and to generate awareness amongst people suffering from Thalasimia,Cancer , HIV AIDS disease etc.
x)To arrange and organize education on computer both in theoretical and practical classes among the needy students of the society and issue certificate of accreditation without the motive of profit.
y)To render relief to the suffering in times of famine, flood, drought, earthquake and other natural calamities.
z) To educate the people about pollution and to arrange plantation of trees in the locality to make the world green .
aa)To arrange for medical treatment to the Deaf and Dumb and handicapped or physically challenged persons by rendering qualified doctors, medicines and other allied articles free of coast.
bb)To help the people in marriage, Funeral.
cc)To help to organize self help group based programs for augmentation of the livelihood opportunities of the people at the grass root level as being beneficial to the public or to a section of people.
dd)To prevent nosocomial/Hospital Infection
ee)To maintain a proper register of all Doctors Or Scientists or Students or Research associates who have got their primary medical Qualification Or Post Graduate Or Post Doctoral Or License Or any other qualification related to Medicine Or Surgery or Modern Medicine or Allopath Medicine Or Indian Traditional Medicine or Traditional Medicine (of the respective country) , abroad and issue their respective registration number as per the register of the Association not violating the Constitution of India or the Legislative Law or whatever the case may be as per guideline of MCI/DCI/IMA or other respective governing bodies.
ff)To provide guidance to the members of the association to study or practice abroad or in India properly.
gg)Updating the knowledge of the members about recent medical knowledge and interventions and etc and their counseling .
hh)To render possible help to the unemployed youth to be self sufficient or employed.
ii)To safeguard and promote the Interest, rights and liabilities of the members of the Institute.
jj)To ventilate problem and secure redress of the grievances of the members of the Association and settlement of the differences and discords by democratic and peaceful means in accordance with the Laws of the Country.
kk)To contact with the benevolent organizations as well as the Government (both State & Central ) offices with a view to get help and strengthen the activities of the Institute.
ll)To implement the policy of the Government and its undertakings.
mm)To promote social, educational and economical uplifts of members and the general people of India and to promote self consciousness of all the general masses of west Bengal and India and adjoining area.
nn)To publish journal or journals and issue bulletins.
oo)To organize cultural and social meetings and CME relating to the motive of the Association.
pp)To train people (members of the Association) with medical background or educated people in Primary Public Health Care and management and provide them the scope to practice and help the poor people of India in PHC or Rural area as per LAW.
qq)Assisting doctors (members of Association) with foreign medical degree to get provincial registration from Medical Council of India or the respective State Medical Council as per eligibility criteria and guideline of Medical Council of India or State Medical Council of respective state.
rr)To provide assistance to qualified medical professionals to practice Indian Medicine or Modern Medicine under Medical Council of India Act 1956 without violating Laws and regulations of the concerned authority.
ss)To prevent and check illegal abortion and mal practice of Modern medicine and Indian Medicine by quacks or non qualified/under qualified medical professionals.
tt)To prevent malpractice and issuing fake drugs by the several Pharmaceutical shops or store in India.
uu)To check the quality of pharmacists in the drug shops or pharmaceutical shops and if any mismanagement or malpractice or abuse of drugs is noticed the same to be reported to the concerned State Government or Central Government authorized bodies concerning the same.
vv)Any mal practice of mere workers or a medicine/ drug/pharmaceutical shop to be reported to the concerned government authority for action to be taken.
ww)Any threat to health of the people of India by any doctors or its associates or quakes to be reported to the concerned authority.

xx)People practicing Modern Medicine or Indian Medicine with fake license or registration to be reported to the concerned state or central Government and maintaining a directory or a list of Fake Institutions issuing such fake license or registration and reporting the same to the concerned State or Central Government Department
yy) To render legal assistance to the members of the Association.
zz). Providing Assistance to members of the association for getting permission/registration of Foreign National/NRI who desires to participate in CME programmes /Workshop/Post Graduate course holding in India section 14(1) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
