Fifty to Hundred was created to make exhorbitantly expensive handmade lace available to everyone, teenager to travellers. This is the only place where you can interact with the craftsperson directly to get custom made handcrafted jewellery, place-mats (coasters, small doilies), botuas, mobile phone keepers made with thread, glass beads, terracotta elements in colours of your choice.

The idea is to keep the tradition of handmade lace alive by breaking it down to small items of everyday usage that is intricate, sophisticated, easy to maintain, lovely and affordable. All jewellery and accessories are made with very strong cordonet thread and are colourfast.

Since the weave is knotted, it does not come apart easily unless cut with sharp objects and so are safe with precious pearls or semi precious stones. All of the items are usually woven, they are not stitched. The quality of the thread is the best available in India. Every piece is unique as it is handcrafted from start to finish and no two pieces are the exact same.

I deliver anywhere in the world, shipping charges apply, and check mails once in every 24 hours. I am new and this is a small startup, so bulk orders over a hundred pieces together would need a lead time of at least 20 days excluding shipping time. However with individual orders we ship out as soon as the payments are received, posts go out every Monday and Thursdays when necessary.

Handmade lace is THE most expensive item in the world of fabric and fashion. In ancient times, when machine made lace was unavailable, lace was consumed only by the rich and the powerful. My aim is to make lace accessible at reasonable rates everywhere and to everyone and keep the craft alive.

PN: Lace is the use of thread to create light and shade in empty space, the gossamer sheer nature of it makes it special, delectable, light to touch and the knots make it endurable, so that it an be passed on from one generation to the other. The lighter the thread the more gossamer effect it has. To create "fall" in jewellery, we add glass and heavy beads and drops.
