Housed in a contemporary and chic store, Legacy is a collector’s dream abode constituting exquisite collection of furniture, porcelain, glassware, jewellery, metal ware, marble, alabaster statuettes, books, prints, photographs, textiles that are timeless pieces history and tradition.

Besides the obvious aesthetic appeal of each objects of art, one gets to glimpse a myriad …….. of cultural anthropology; every object in the display telling a well – documented story. They reveal how their forebears included art and aesthetics in solving practical problems of daily living, as well as their material values and tastes.

If you are interested in the decorative sculpture, you may find yourself mingling with some of the most stunning Italian alabaster busts, carved carrera marbles, oriental marble figurines and Persian tile panels. You may take home a pair of Victorian carved rose quartz lamps and couple of fine Corinthian pillars too. What makes this collection rare and wonderful is that they are not merely objet d'art, but a revelation of grace and beauty. All the objects displayed here are hand- picked from various Zamindar families of Bengal and other parts of the world. For example, the hinged covered, cartouche shaped English snuff box with a painting of a young man and woman grinding scissors and razors on its lid as well as the gothic style French bronze and porcelain mantle clock and candelabra garniture with porcelain inset plaques depicting cavaliers exude refinement and elegant taste.

Furniture on display here is crafted using a well-planned, scientific method employing traditional ideas, carefully scaled and styled to suit the modern lifestyle. All our furniture is made using only traditional joinery, where each piece of furniture is individually fitted and joined, giving the ensemble greater strength. All the intricate details are hand-carved, giving them a unique and personalized appearance, and distinguishing them from machine-made products.

Our hand finishing process gives each piece its own unique character, quality and the reminiscence of the period from which the design is inspired. We believe that our furniture would go on to become heirloom for the future generations.

The store also boasts of an eclectic and mesmerising jewellery collection, paintings, early prints of Daniel, Fraser lithographs from the days of the Raj, and paintings of Jamini Roy, Nandalal Bose among others.
