About Rural Health KIOSK in 44A SP Mukherjee Road, Kolkata

Delivery of high quality, financially sustainable primary care for the last-mile rural population, is a global
challenge. We propose a solution providing low-cost, evidence-based, and secure Primary healthcare services at remote
locations using innovative technology, trained paramedic professionals and backend doctors. An android-based app
(Knowledge Enabled Clinical Informatics) with detailed medical algorithm is developed by doctors and IT specialists. The
health assistants use this app and low-cost innovative diagnostic technologies to collect demographic data, medical &
family history and conduct preliminary physical examinations at the rural kiosk (a room of about 150 sq. ft at a prominent
location of the village). The data is shared with a back-end doctor using the internet/ SMS. The doctor, on review of the
patient details, communicates with the HA/Patient over phone prescribes medications. The HA prints the prescription,
explains and hands it over to the patient.
