About Green Amateur Group in 102,S.N.Banerjee Road, Kolkata

Started in the year 1961 with some friends & participated in one-act competition

organised by Howrah Bidharthy Samaj. From then till date running successfully.

We have participated in different competition & win prizes in different category.

With all the difficulties we never stopped our creativity & performed every year

With new production and acclaimed by spectators.

In the year 1977, MR.ARUN SARKAR, founder & director of our group

participated in director’s workshop organised by Maxmuller Bhawan for the

production of the play “ANTIGONEY”.

In the year 1985 we organised Silver Jubilee year at Rabindra Sadan,

Maxmuller Bhawan & Muktangan .

From 1967 to 1983 Eminent singer & hero of Bengali cinema Rabin Majumder

was President of our group.He also acted regularly in our group.

Eminent star of Bengali cinema heroine Sandhyarani devi also acted in “Mejdidi”

In our group.

Just released a book consisting of 4 drama of Arun Sarkar by Kalabhrit Publication.

The journey is going on, though group changes it’s faces different time .
