The rolling Stock division of the Company, since its inception in the year 1954 has built its strong identification in design and manufacturing of Railway Wagon and has become the largest Wagon (nearly 1,00,000 Nos.) manufacturer in India for both conventional and custom-built special purpose wagons for core sectors like Steel, Cement, Aluminium, Oil, Chemical, Fertiliser, Thermal Power Projects, Defence, Foodgrains and others. Texmaco pioneered the export of Wagons in 1965 and so far have exported to Europe, Africa and South-East Asian countries against global competition. Texmaco have had number of license agreements with leading companies producing Wagon & Wagon components, and have successfully absorbed their technologies under those agreements.
Texmaco’s Wagon division, coupled with integrated facility comprising of a State-of-the-Art Steel Foundry having 30,000 MTPA capacity of finished casting and equipped with a fully automated High Pressure Moulding Line and Sand Plant supplied by the world-renowned Kunkel Wagner of Germany for production of railway Bogies, Couplers and other intricate railway castings, has a proven track record of assured quality and on time delivery. In fact, on an average one out of every four wagons plying on Indian Railways’ network is rolled out from Texmaco’s Works.
