About Poddar Chhatra Niwas Alumni Association in 150, Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata

"Poddar Chhatra Niwas" ( PCN ) was established in the year 1935 in the heart of Kolkata 150, Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata – 700 007. The hostel was earlier known as "Marwari Chhatra Niwas" and was running at a rented premises in Tara Chand Dutta Street, Kolkata. The hostel was established for the purpose of providing accommodation to the students coming from different parts of the country for higher studies

PCN has a long history of more than 8 decades. The alumni of this prestigious institution have been great leaders, Judges, Doctors, CEO, CFO, Professionals, Corporate Czars etc. all over the world. A need was always felt to have a platform for bringing all the Ex-Boarders under one roof for their continuous interaction and bondage and enabling them to contribute towards the development of education & society. Several attempts were made in the past to form an association and finally this was taken a shape under the name and style of "Poddar Chhatra Niwas Alumni Association" (PCNAA) which is registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 vide Registration No. 36182 of 2015-2016

The basic objects behind the formation of PCNAA is to develop and maintain liaison between the present Boarders and Ex-Boarders of the hostel who are living in different parts of the country for the overall development, maintenance and improvement of PCN as well as quality enhancement of the present boarders.
