In the autumn of 2009, Store Bookworm opened its flagship store in the suburbs of Kolkata in Burdwan. The idea was to make people give access to immense choice of books across varied interests.

Store Bookworm, recognized predominantly as a book store, has genres ranging from popular fiction, non-fiction, computing, self-help, health, management, food and drink, travel, art and architecture, children's books and so on, giving its customers a relatively wide range to choose from.

Store Bookworm is largely aimed to cater Tier II & Tier III cities across India. It plans to open stores both company owned and franchisee format.
