About Boro People's Committee for Peace Initiative in , Kokrajhar

Realizing the very essence of safeguarding the interest of Boro race, the BPCPI was formed on 13th of the November, 2011 ' as a movement by a group of visionary Boro individuals from various background to help initiate the peace parley with the government of India and to put an end to Armed Conflict for the permanent solution of the vexed Boro political problems. Learning from the previous experience of working for Boro people, they conceive the organization to be moving one, for they realized that only through movement the rights of Boros could be materialized as another facet of the struggle leading to attaining the status of equal citizens, to have control over their livelihood and to retain their identity while changing with times.
