Clothing: During Summer (April to September) usually cotton clothing would do but it is better to take light woolens for night.Heavy woolens are a must for the remaining months (October- march).

Footwear: Canvas shoes or PU sole footwear is ideally suited.

Travel Light: Except for personal clothing and vital items like medicines etc, it do not carry any extra baggage.

Aarti Timings: Aarti takes place twice a day. But devotees are not allowed inside during Aarti. The timings of Aarti are 6 am to 8 am in the morning and 6 pm to 8 pm in the evening.

Weather and Climate of Katra

Summer:
Summers usually set in May and lasts till July characterized by moderate temperature. During this season, the temperature hovers around 30 to 40 degree C. April is known as the most unpredictable month as sudden downpour brings down the temperature to greater level.

Monsoon :
Monsoons usually arrive in the end of July and is marked by heavy downpour but otherwise the weather during this season remains balmy. Light woolens are reccommended during this season.

Winter :
Winters beginning from October to March are the most dreaded months as the temperature goes down to - 5 Degree Centigrade. Heavy woolens must be carried if one is visiting the place during these months.
