About International Dhamma Conference in Buddha Bhumi Foundation, Ashoknagar, Valdhuni, Kalyan

All India Bhikkhu Sangha along with Nation Builder Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vichar Mahotsav Samiti and Buddha Bhoomi Foundation have organized the 1st "International Dhamma Conference" on 30th & 31st October 2016 in Kalyan city near Mumbai.

India is the birth place of Buddhism but it was lost for many centuries from the land of its origin. Bodhisatva Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, a renowned social reformer and architect of Indian Constitution revived Buddhism when he took Dhamma Diksha from elderly monk venerable Chandramani Mahasthavir along with half a million of his followers in October, 1956.

This year the organizers have decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Dhamma Chakka Anuvattana (Dhamma Diksha day) with a grand function to create awareness among all sects of society through the universal message of Buddha. The conference would feature various Dhamma-talks by renowned monks & dignitaries from India and abroad. The valuable guidance from venerable monks will become a guiding principle for years to come on this holy land of India blessed by Buddha's Footprints. The program will be followed by cultural events. The conference is likely to be attended by approximately 45,000 to 50,000 people from across all parts of India and abroad.
