About Industrial Training Institute - Kailashahar in R.G.M Hospital Road, Kailashahar

Industrial Training Institute, Kailashahar well known as ITI, Kailashahar is the second oldest ITI of Tripura state. The Institute is run by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura and is affiliated to the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) under Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, New Delhi.
At present, this Institute has an intake capacity of 260 seats in 12(twelve) different trades under the Craftsman Training Scheme(CTS) and its training duration varies from one year to two years. All the computers lab of the Institute are connected with Broad-band internet facilities.
The trainees of the Institute is being paid monthly stipend during their training period.
The Institute has 50(fifty) seated hostel for boys and 11(eleven) nos residential quarters comprising of Type-I/Type-II/Type-III for staff. There is also a big playground for the trainees and staff just adjacent to the ITI, hostel.
The Institute also provides vocational training to school leavers, existing workers, ITI graduates etc. in 9(Nine) different Modular Employable Skills (MES) courses under the Skill Development Initiative(SDI) Scheme and the duration of the courses varies from 500 hours to 700 hours. The training is being imparted during the morning shift.

It is situated in the heart of Kailashahar town, which is also a District head quarter and it is well connected to Dharmanagar Railways station and Kumarghat Railway Station by road.
