Kadakkavoor is surrounded Attingal (5 km) to the east, Anchuthengu (1.5 km) to the west, Vakkom (1 km) to the north and Chirayinkeezhu (4 km) to the south. This place is about 1 km from Nilakkamukku, about 2.5 km from Mananakku and about 7.5 km from Varkala.

Vakkom is located in Thiruvananthapuram District and is near Kadakkavur. It is about 10 km from Attingal. Vakkom is the birth place of Vakkom Moulavi, one of the greatest renaissance leaders of Kerala. Vakkom Purushothaman, the former speaker of Kerala Legislative Assembly, was also born here. Sarkara Devi Temple and Varkala Beach (8.5 km) are points of interest nearby.
