Agriculture is the foundation of human civilization as we have today. Imagine if the man had to hunt for food, could he think for any innovation, discovery, culture, art, philosophy or any such thing. The food security, one of the primary needs, could be accomplished only through Agriculture. And, the core of agriculture's culture lies with seed. It's observation, selection, collection and nurtured propagation by the pre histories human race (probably, initially, by the better half of man, the woman, who remained around the cave to nurture small children, observed, selected, collected experimented with the seeds to give an idea of initial agricultural practices). If and only if, the seed is of good quality one can expect a good harvest. Our ancient scriptures also emphasize the importance of seed (Good seed in good soil yields abundantly).
