About Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh in Kalakshetra Building, E-Sector, Itanagar

The sons and daughters of this beautiful state of Arunachal Pradesh are the proud bearer of faith and culture in its purest form that has been handed down from generations, nurtured and nourished with the wisdom of our forefathers. Till recent times, our faith and cultural heritage did not face any challenge to its extinction from any outside force. Sensing such threat the great Golgi-Bote late Talom Rukbo started a movement for protection, preservation and promotion of the Donyi-Poloism at Pasighat which attracted people who were worshipers of Donyi and Polo i.e. the sun and moon. Gradually the indigenous people of other faiths like worshipers of Rangfra, Amik-Matai, Nani-Inteya, Nyezi-No, Zangna, Lord Buddha and others also realized the need to protect their respective faith and cultural ethos from being bulldozed by alien faith and culture that had started penetrating in the hearts and minds of some of our brothers and sisters. When such a silent, but vibrant movement started gaining momentum in the length and breath of the state a need was felt for an organization that would coordinate the activities of different community based organizations and hence an apex organization in the name and style of the "INDIGENOUS FAITH AND CULTURAL SOCIETY OF ARUANCHAL PRADESH" i.e. IFCSAP was formed in the year 1999.
