Mini Slammers is an awesome approach to bring children into the game of tennis.
For any physical sport the suggested age to start is 8 years old, but the beauty of Mini Slammers is that kids as young as 3½ years old can join this program. It makes them learn the basics with a series of fun activities, based on the fundamentals of balance, coordination, agility and racquet-ball skills.
It is played on a small court with shorter racquets and soft balls. The balls used are 50-70% softer than the regular ball and gives players the opportunities to have long rallies and play different types of shots. This also enables the players to learn a sound technique in a short time.
