D. Ravinder Reddy belongs to the rare breed of photographers who always has an eye
for the picture and nose for the news. He always makes excellent pictures in odd and
the most di cult situations- be it the demolition of Babri Masjid at Ayodhya or the dev-
astating earthquake at Lathur in Maharastra which were widely published on the cover
pages of several national and international magazines and journals like Time, India
Today, Penguin Books.

His pictures were published in the prestigious book “The De nitive Images From 1958
to The Present”, by Dorling Kindersley, London. He traveled extensively along with two
former Chief Ministers of A.P., namely N. Chandrababu Naidu and Late Y.S. Rajasekhara
Reddy and followed them even to USA.
He always looks for human element while taking any picture and believes that photog-
raphy is all about giving life to the picture. This philosophy of his life made him an
accomplished wedding photographer, whose journalistic approach in wedding photog-
raphy earned him the acclaim of top business families of India and abroad for whom he
works regularly.
So far he had published four books, namely “India – Andhra Pradesh” in 2002, “Hy-
derabad- Portrait of a City” in 2006, “YSR – Man of The People” in 2011 and “Threads of
Hope – The Magical Weaves of Andhra Pradesh” in 2011. His rst book “India – Andhra
Pradesh” had won two awards namely, Incredible India Award and State Tourism Award
in 2004. His fourth book “Threads of Hope – The Magical Weaves of Andhra Pradesh”
had won National Tourism Award in 2012.
At Hyderabad he owns state-of-the-art photo establishments “Ravi Studios”, “Ravi Press
Photo”, “Ravi Photo Gallery” and “Ravi Frames” which implement the latest technology
and art and are considered to be one of the best in the country. His gallery exhibits
nest examples of photography and encourages emerging photographers.
