Brief History of Hyundai MOBIS R & D
Started as Hyundai Autonet India Engineering Pvt Ltd. in March, 2007
Renamed as MOBIS INDIA R&D Pvt Ltd. due to merger between HACO & Hyundai MOBIS in KOREA in July, 2009
Renamed as MOBIS INDIA Limited R&D Centre, due to attachment to MOBIS India Limited (parts supplier) in July, 2012
Multimedia:
Multimedia projects at MTCI involves Audio Systems which interfaces components such as CD, USB, iPod, Tuners, etc., to the Main CPU. The Main CPU gets the user inputs through the Key Board and/or CAN. These inputs are parsed and appropriate sources are brought into action. Various screens corresponding to different sources and their status information are displayed on to the Full Dot LCD or TFT connected to the Main CPU.

Mechatronics:
Mechatronics department in MTCI mainly focus software development for the R & D projects in chassis, body domain area. Scope includes developing platform software to various controllers for braking systems, air suspension, and steering and safety systems. Further to this R&D center also develops application logic for research projects in advanced driver assistance area. Model based design approach is used to execute application logic.

Software V&V:
MTCI mainly involves system level testing in multimedia audio systems and some part of the testing activities automated using tools. MTCI involves in Static analysis, Dynamic analysis, Integration testing, functional testing and systems testing activities in various domains(Brake, Chassis, VISION, Safety, Body , ADAS) of Mechatronics systems. MTCI involves in MIL, SIL and PIL testing in model based development projects in various Mechatronics systems.

CAE:
Computer Aided Engineering(CAE) department in MTCI performs structural/thermal/flow/Impact/vibration/Squeal/SI&PI analysis For Cockpit Module, Front End Module, Chassis Module, Lamps, MDPS steering column, Airbags, hybrid vehicle, Multimedia, Mechatronic parts, etc. CAE helps to analyze and predict the performance of the design, identify weaknesses in a design, calculate safety of margin.
