Terracotta jewellery collections have been created with clay obtained from in and around Bangalore. The clay is processed thoroughly and then is used to design jewellery. Terracotta jewellery is baked under high temperatures (1000° C 1100° C) in a kiln, hence is it insoluble in water. However, extreme care needs to be taken in handling and storing the jewellery. It is not break-proof.
