About Veera Hanuman SaiBaba in Borabanda, Hyderabad

Experiences related to Sri Veera Hanuman Shirdi Saibaba temple were shared by Sri B. Ashok as follows:

On the 1 acre land adjacent to Bora Banda bus stop there has been a Hanuman temple for the past 30 years. Mrs. Saiamma, a Baba devotee who was an RTC employee, suggested to the committee members of the Hanuman temple to construct a Sai Baba temple inside the temple premises and donated Rs. 50,000 towards it. The committee decided to construct the Sai Baba temple. When the construction work started many other devotees volunteered their services and contributed towards providing slabs, flooring, arches, painting etc. They were able to construct a temple bigger in size than originally planned. Devotees who had taken up the various tasks during the construction were able to complete them successfully without any hindrance.

The temple secretary Mr. M. Paul had 3 daughters. During the installation ceremony of the Sri Sai Baba statue he was blessed with a baby boy. By Baba’s grace another devotee was blessed with a baby boy and as a token of gratitude he offered money as per the weight of the child in a ritual called tulabharam (weighing by scale).

Another devotee donated 1 kg of silver to Baba.

An interesting thing to note was that the Samadhi in front of the Baba idol in this temple was constructed by placing books in which Sri Sai Baba’s name was written 1crore (10 million) times.
