About the Institute:

Founded in1976 by the Government, “Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute” has been supporting the Government’s initiatives in capacity building for reforms, good governance, change management and revamping delivery systems. The total sanctioned strength of all categories of employees is 125.

To emerge as a world class institution of learning in the art and practice of citizen-centric Governance

Mission:

To strive towards sustainable excellence in sharing constantly updated knowledge and skills with the personnel serving the Government and to promote capacity building and competencies among them

The Specialized Centres:

The Institute carries out its mandate through eight Centres which are committed not only to developing a storehouse of expertise in various sectors of governance but also to undertaking capacity building initiatives for the Government. These are: Centre for Climate & Disaster Management, Centre for Urban Development Studies, Centre for IT, Centre for General and Revenue Administration, Accounts Training Wing, Accounts Training Wing, Centre for Office Management and Secretarial Procedures, and Centre for Management and Behavioural Sciences.

Training Activities:

The Institute, which receives its annual budget from the Government of Telangana, has the mandate to impart training to its employees, at all levels. In addition, the Institute offers a wide range of training programs, sponsored by different Ministries of Government of India, State Governments from across the country, and other agencies.
The Institute believes in decentralized training and, towards this, it has established a network of District Training Centres in all districts to provide training to field level functionaries.

The Institute, spread over 30 acres of picturesque land in Jubilee Hills, a swank commercial and residential location, has created a formidable infrastructure to host training programs and events of any magnitude with its impressive array of facilities and high standards of services. The Institute has also offers numerous avenues for recreation to the trainees in order to make their stay a pleasant, enriching, and memorable experience.

Recent Events:

Dr. MCR HRD Institute has conducted the prestigious 15-week Foundation Course, from August 29th to December 9th, 2016, for 126 officers of All India Services and Central Civil Services, including six officers from the Royal Bhutan Police Service, under the aegis of Lal Bahadur Sastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie. The Course was inaugurated by Sri ESL Narasmhan, Hon.ble Governor of AP & Telangana. The course involved an innovative fusion of academic, outdoor, extra-curricular, and co-curricular activities.

Professor Ashok Kumar Seetharaman-

Dr. Ashok Kumar Seetharaman is the Centre Director, E-Government Leadership Centre, and National University of Singapore. He held discussions on the proposed collaboration between his Centre and Dr. MCR HRD Institute in such areas as Capacity Building in the field of E-Governance, International Events on Smart Cities, faculty exchanges, both physical and web-based, as well as joint certification program. He addressed the participants of 91st Foundation Course for the Officers of All India Services and Central Civil Services, being organised by the Institute.
