Welcome to all members, readers, visitors of Universal Baptist Church: A very brief History of Universal Baptist Church
A study of the history of Baptists reveal their passion for complete religious freedom to human kind, which is central to their identity. Throughout their history, Baptists also affirmed the need to preserve the liberty and freedom of individual conscience. They followed Jesus Christ as the one and only voice of their consciences, even when this led to conflicts with the governments and established churches. When, we as Baptists become convinced that our consciences bound to and informed by the word of God lead us in a certain direction, then we will try to set out on that pilgrimage even when this brings us into conflict with governments and church. The real liberty that Baptists have insisted upon is the freedom of an individual to withdraw from any church when the restrictions/prevailing conditions that are placed up on that person as a member prevent him or her from being in conscience a faithful and obedient Christian.
