About Hyderabad Book Fair in 21/1, Near RTC Kalyana Mandapam,Azamabad, Hyderabad

Hyderabad Book Fair Society has been formed in 1985 by renowned book publishers with the main object of organizing Book Exhibition at Hyderabad. The First exhibition has been organized in City Central Library at Ashoknagar. Seeing the tremendous response, the venue has been shifted to Nizam College grounds, Kesav Memorial High School grounds during the subsequent years. During the last 5 years, the exhibition has been conducted at Peoples Plaza Grounds. This year, exhibition is being conducted in the NTR Grounds, Hyderabad. So far, 29 exhibitions have been conducted and this year 30th exhibition is being conducted. It is our constant endeavor that the exhibition should be an intellectual treat providing an occasion to expose the public and enlighten them with latest in every of aspect literature being published.

30th Hyderabad Book Fair will start from December 18 and will continue up to 27th. It is the biggest in the country after Calcutta Book Fair. Leading book publishers and sellers will be participating in the Fair. International publishers like Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Penguin, Oriental, Blackswan, etc will also be participating in this year’s exhibition.

About 250 stalls, including stalls from leading Daily News Papers will be on display. Literature in about 150 stalls in English, 90 stalls in Telugu, few in Hindi, Kannada and Urdu languages will be on display. Very popular public funded National Bok Trust, Kendra Sahitya Academy, Publication Division, Telugu Academy, Telugu Universty publishing units wil also participate in the exhibition. Leading publishers from Delhi, Chennai, Calcutta, Bombay, Vijayawada will participate.

The subjects on display will be wide ranging covering Puranas, Novels, Stories, Children books, Text books, Engineering, Medicine, progressive literature and Fiction, catering to the needs of every one, including from KG to PG.


We would like to organize Book release functions,cultural activities etc,.. Writers, Poets, Artists, Performers, and other important personalities will participate in the events. Many books are slated for release during exhibition. Books and writers will be introduced from the platform of the exhibition. Important personalities, who contributed significantly to the literature, will also be felicitated during the exhibition. Programme to display the best books also is being organized during the exhibition. Cooperation from leading Cine artists is also being sought in making the exhibition a grand success.

Competitions for students from various schools and colleges will be organized during exhibition time. Winners from these competitions will be awarded prizes by the Book Exhibition Society.
