History:

The Company rides a long history of ups & downs to become one of the Best Suppliers / Distributors and Publishers in Medical Book Trade in India.

Started by two friends in the late 40’s on bicycle, to supply medical books to hostel students in Mumbai; these were the Co-founders of Kothari Medical Book Depot. The first medical book store was opened at Parel, opposite to Wadia Children’s Hospital, Mumbai (1947). The foundation Tree grew up to three floors.

Their family members branched to various places in India. One branched out to Hyderabad city Mr. Arvind Mohanlal Kothari, who began with a humble start under the banner Paras Medical Books P Ltd. On Dec 23, 1980; and it is a sprawling tree itself.

After five and half decades, business is now in the hands of their heirs, the third generation. This generation is blessed with the vast experience gained from its predecessors.

>Publishing Department:

Builds and enhances Relationship with the prospective Doctors, who with their extensive teaching experiences can author the medical books.

Arranges meeting between the Author, Editor and Management to complete the profile of the book and the Doctor.

After the author publisher’s agreement is signed, manuscript goes for printing. Around 400 titles have been published through sister concern Paras Medical Publisher.

>Retail Departments/Book Stores:

Give more importance to the customers and provides excellent services at bookstores.

Gains a clear understanding of each customer’s requirements, arrange for the books, if unavailable suggest more variety of books to customer for the exact/better purchase.

Maintain adequate stock of all the books in an arranged manner to provide easy and quick service to the customer. It ensures high standard of customer satisfaction index.

In regards to the supply to dealers and book stores, we try to complete the orders at the first go, if not arrange for rest of the books at the earliest, arrange for the complete list of the specific medical subject by post or via e-mail.

Online presence to facilitate easy purchase, thousands of reference titles along with textbooks that are available throughout the year; ensuring honest and transparent dealings.

Expert at Identifying sales prospects, follow up on new leads, referrals resulting from sales activity, establishing, maintaining long term current and potential client relationships.

>Management Team:

Plays a vital role by monitoring all the departments, plug holes wherever needed, interact with the clients, identify their future requirements and resolve any issues related to supply, accounts etc.

Management ensures that it attends The All India / State level Medical Conferences / Seminars / Workshops to have direct contact with doctors and know the current trends in the medical field.

It is the Management and a motivated Staff of Forty People run the company to render great services. Each with their own strengths, dedication and hard work brought the company to the current standing.
