About M.G. Polytechnic, Hathras in Agra Road, Miya ka Nagla, Hathras

The Institute was developed by a famous industrialist Seth Gajanand Chaudhary Jee in the memory of his father Late Seth Murlidhar Chaudhary Jee in the year 1955. The institute along with whole land was gifted to the government of Uttar Pradesh in the same year. The inorgation was conducted on 24 Sep 1955 by former Chief Minister of U. P. Dr. Sampoorna Nand Jee. In the first stage two year diploma in survey and computer was started in the institute. After one year, two years drafts man course in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engg. was started in the institute. In the year 1959 three years diploma in Civil Engg. was started after the approval of AICTE . After one year, diploma in Electrical and Mechanical Engg. was started. In all these three courses the student's intakes were 120, which were increased to 180. In the year 1969, one year post diploma course started in refrigeration and air conditioning & Electronics Engg. which were converted into 03 years Engg. Diploma course in the session 1975-76 . In the session 1976-77, the diploma in Agriculture Engg. of 03 years duration was started. Parallel to the above courses a certificated courses of Three years in refrigeration and air conditioning was started by taking the view of employment. In the session 2001-02, Three years diploma course in Refrigeration and air conditioning was stopped & in the same Session, a diploma course in Mechanical ( Automobile ) Engg. was started with intake of 30 students which was later increased to 60. In the Session 2003-04 under self finance scheme a diploma course in Computer Science & Engg. was started with intake of 30 student which was later increased to 60 .The Refrigeration and air conditioning course, under self finance Scheme was started in the session 2008-09 with 30 students intake. During the present session 2010-11 the diploma course in second shift also started in the Civil. Mechanical (Auto), Mechanical(production), Electrical And Electronics Engg. With 60 students intake in each branch.

The Students of this institute are gained position in U.P State level and they are working on reputed Post at the word's Level. At the state level, this institute was remained a good position and going on, for achievements to H.T.T.

The management of the institute is run by the controller/ District Magistrate ( Mahamaya Nagar) which had been nominated by U.P. Government. The total financial responsibility is beard by State Govt. except of Self Finance & Second Shift Diploma Engg. Courses. The Institute has well equipped laboratories in all the concerned branches. The Institute is spread in 46 acre area. Some of the land of the institute has been planted by Forest Deptt. It has facilities for sports (Indoor/Outdoor). All courses run by the Institute are approved by A.I.C.T.E. The Institute has started Community Polytechnic sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development of Indian Govt. in the same session 2010-11. The poor people from villages gets benefit for technical education to earn their daily bread. Institute has a hostel & play ground which is acquired by District Magistrate from Year Nov. 1997 for Reserve Police line.
