Sree Chaitaniya College, Habra is a Goverment - sponsored, UGC recognized Co-educational College
and it is affiliated to the WEST BENGAL STATE UNIVERSITY, Barasat,
North 24 Parganas, got Grade 'B++'
accreditation from National
Accreditation Committee (NAAC) of
University Grant Commission of
India. TheCollege started its journey
in August, 1956. Now it is one of the
big and prestigious learning centers
in the Eastern India.
It has three shifts. Morning which is exclusively for girls, Evening exclusively for Boys and Day for co-education purpose.
The college is governed by a
statutory Governing Body that is
constituted with nominated
members from the State Government, eminent personalities
from Locality, teaching and non-
teaching and student representatives.
The Principal is the executive head of the Institution, but several Sub-committees are the key bodies formed with teaching and non-teaching staff for proper functioning.
