About Aldo’s Adventure:
What we are at the moment is an outcome of understanding & practice since 1998 – Trekking and Hiking with numerous links, Folks and Sets across Maharashtra. It was started with a limited, but now Aldo’s Adventure is a dedicated platform of Trekkers, Campers, Outdoor Enthusiasts, History-Minders, Nature-Lovers, Artists by Heart, Photographers and Social-Workers organised from varied experiences and from side to side concrete learnings. Aldo’s Adventure regularly invites All History-Explorers, Nature-Devotees and Adventure Enthusiasts for creative and fruitful meet ups, Debates, Consultations and Sessions. Believe Aldo’s Adventure as a kind of stage – Bhatkanti Katta – based in Dombivli for the first time next to Mumbai. Our objective is to turn ourselves into a sociable, inspiring stage for all those who wish to connect and involve in Art of Trekking, Hiking, Adventure-Sports & Activities. It's a dog story -- a dog that linked to countless Treks to find a new way of life.

Yes, the story of a Black Labrador dog, Aldo, the only trekker dog. The amazing tales of Aldo’s treks initiates years ago, deep in the Historical Forts, Sahyadri Mountains & Jungles, when our originator Mr. Santosh Kurhade (Commercial Artist, J. J. School of Art, Mumbai) and his partner Mrs. Sapna Kurhade (Sr. Cabin Crew, Air India) were adopted a Black Labrador Retriever new-born pup and named him Aldo in 2007.
And from that moment on, Aldo didn’t left any Trek of Historical Forts in the Sahyadri. The couple thought Aldo would not love and consider this form of Adventure and give away as a Labrador dog. But he didn’t. Besides being a great companion dog, Aldo is best known for his secret voyages, caring & sharing nature in the trekkers ‘community across Maharashtra. He was well trained by Mumbai Western Railway Police and then wanted to approve Aldo for drug and bomb detection to search and rescue. However his Parents denied to do so. He was the Titleholder for 2 years in the Dog Show at Dombivli.
Aldo continued on to conquer countless forts counting the highest one Salher, Mulher, Ratangad Sudhagad and many more in Maharashtra. Extreme activities that called Aldo to endure difficult natural circumstances while Trekking, Outing and biking — and has since gained a growing degree of personality as an explorer dog.
When the team descended into mud, so did Also. When the team slept into Jungles, so did Aldo. When the team crossed a river, Aldo swam beside. “Aldo started when he was just 3 months old — but finished with more than 80 Historical forts since last 10 years,” the supporter of Aldo’s Adventure wrote. Some added on Facebook: “We came to trek the Sahyadri with Santosh & Sapna. Instead, we got a new co-trekker.”
What is clear: Aldo never leave the team. He always showed up beside the team again at his own as the team made their way through Mountains. All went well, but when it is terrible for him and he was having problems to climb then team had to help him through some of the difficult patches.
We had known many dogs, and many a story we could tell of their wisdom and devotion; but to none do we owe so much as to Aldo. He is truly his best self when he is outdoors, in the open. We think that’s pretty clear when you look at his naughty Apple- face in all of our photos.
