CropConnect started by Puneet Jhajharia and Ishira Mehta has been building market based models to connect farmers to markets more efficiently since 2013. Over the last 3 years we have travelled over 90,000 kms across 24 states to meet and work with farmers.

In November 2015 we launched an initiative called the Original Indian Table that aims to bring traditional food experiences to urban customers who are looking for more healthy, nutritious and local alternatives. We do this by bringing to customers authentic, traditional and directly sourced ingredients from across the country. Our offering is positioned as an experience as it contains not just the product but also details on the origin, nutritional benefits, uses and farmers for each product. All products are directly sourced from farmers groups, giving them access to a national market for their local indigenous produce.

Over the last year we have partnered with chefs and restaurants in Mumbai and Delhi to supply ingredients and curate recipes. We have curated a list of over 100 healthy indigenous products from farming communities all across the country which we offer to b2b partners like chefs and restaurants . In addition, we have launched over 10 individual products for our Retail customers across several marketing channels like Amazon, Big Basket and FoodHall.

We have been covered by media such as Economic Times, Business Today, NDTV , The Hindu and Live Mint and have received a lot of love and attention from our customers. Original Indian Table is a recipient of the prestigious Millennium Alliance award in 2017 and Puneet and Ishira were also featured in Fortune India's 40 Under 40 list for 2017.
