Society for Environment and Development, India was founded as a non-government, nonprofit, consultancy and research organization. The Society for Environment and Development, India is an interdisciplinary research organization and it's dedicated for environmental, social and developmental issues.

SEDINDIA is registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act XXXI of 1860. It is governed by a Governing Body consisting of eminent educationists and professionals, scientists and social scientists, economists and engineers, advocates and experts.

The avowed objective of SEDINDIA is to train qualified professionals to shoulder the responsibility of contributing to the development of India as a “Knowledge Society” and all have their role to play a significant role to find sustainable solutions for environmental issues and socio-economic development. Society for Environment and Development, India has succeeded in establishing a platform for interdisciplinary research.
