About Kalika's The Galleria in Mall Road, Darjeeling

Kalika’s The Galleria, is conceptualised by the creative mind of cinematographer Nigam Bomzan. Having travelled around the world for shoots, and having stayed in various cities, towns and villages, Nigam always searched for a place that made him feel at home during his travel escapades. A place where comforts and convenience were matched with a sense of belonging.

That was when the idea of The Galleria was born. Darjeeling has always been a warm host to travellers from around the world, and being his hometown Nigam decided to create an atmosphere of love, warmth and comfort for travellers in the form of The Galleria- a home away from home.

The rooms are designed and named after the two most loved flowers of Darjeeling – Guras and Saipatri. Just as these flowers blossom and add to the beauty of Darjeeling, these rooms with its comfort and amenities will enhance your stay and experience here. Every object in The Galleria is personally handpicked by Nigam himself to offer the guest’s the best of facilities and create an environment of warmth that reflects the familiarity of home.

‘The Galleria’ not just houses travellers and tourists but many moments and memories frozen in time through photographs. Every room, every corridor is adorned with photographs that tell a story.

These photographs are selected by the keen eyes of cinematographer Nigam Bomzan. His endeavour is to encourage young talents and to provide them with the platform to display the same. These pictures can be purchased by the guests and all the earnings will be given to the photographer. Kalika’s The Galleria will only be a display platform and not have any monetary interest in any purchase. Our only aim is to encourage young and fresh talent.

With the mighty Kanchenjunga as your backdrop and the mall in your foreground, it is here that a story awaits for you.
