Housed in a modest 70 year old bungalow, Naira Kota’s store is reminiscent of a day spent at one’s grandparents’ home: warm, loving, and completely satiated. Having begun her journey as a local family owned business, it seems apt that she has made an old, rustic bungalow her home. Naira Kota set out to establish herself in the hearts of people as a household name, and she definitely seems to be achieving this with her belief in her principles and values, and how she would be liked to viewed in a multicultural world of varied hues and colours.

Naira’s sustenance is its customers and she goes to great lengths to ensure their contentment and happiness. She fulfils their wishes by ensuring that all the jewellery she houses are unique and extraordinarily distinctive. Her father, Mr. Badrinath Kota, goes to great lengths travelling the length and breadth of this country and to other distant lands to procure unique authentic jewellery that would make any lady’s heart skip a beat. Procuring the jewellery from his vendors in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kerala, and even Hong Kong, puts Naira in a position of envy among her compatriots. His attention to detail, and his fastidiousness provides Naira with an air of exclusivity, one that cannot be matched in Coimbatore.

Naira believes in absolute trust : Trust in its employees, trust in its customers, and trust in its values. Only this will allow her to flourish. It is this belief in trust that allows her to establish a strong bond with her customers that keep them coming back for more. As one steps in to her store, the fragrance of the ancient rustic Balinese furniture wafts into one’s nostrils
and the minimalistic, yet homely warmth of the place makes one feel at ease; a shopping experience that is usually not replicated in this age. When one steps in to her store, the boundaries of a seller-customer are dissipated, and the bonds of a family are formed. This is her source: her singular familial bond with each and everyone who wish to experience what she has to offer.

By developing such bonds, Naira wishes to stand apart from her peers; she wishes to shine like a star like her name suggests. To be a part of every household, to be a part of their culture, to be a part of their life as she is handed down from generation to generation, traversing many hands, and living many lives in the hearts of her extended family.
