We, WIM P.Priya and WIM Dr.Raghavi, are the founders and owners of Creative Minds. We have travelled together in the journey of chess since 1996. We have also been the best of friends since then :) We have taken this initiative to spread the love of the game.

About us...

WIM Priya Panneer: I started playing chess when I was 5 since then I have taken chess as my professional career. I completed my Women International Master (WIM) title in 2007. I have been representing India in various World and Asian chess championships since 1999.I have won medals at commonwealth chess championships in the year 2004 & 2007 and also won many national level championships. I also have a Masters degree in Business Administration specialised in Human Resources from SSN School of Management

WIM Dr.Raghavai: I started playing chess when I was 7 years old. Although it was just a part of several other after school activities, my passion towards the game grew quickly and I became more serious about it. I have won many National level Championships notably the national junior (Under 19) girls in 2003 which I managed to achieve when I was 14 years old. After my 10th standard I had to devote more attention on my academics and pursuing a degree in Medicine. After finishing my MBBS in Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai I came back to chess in 2012 and have managed to achieve my Women International Master (WIM) title and 1 Women Grand Master norm.

About the game....

Chess is a classic game of strategy, invented more than 1500 years ago in India. The value of chess for children is much more than entertainment and amusement. Learning Chess helps the kids to improve their various skills like concentration, decision making, problem solving, calculating ability, creativity, time management; cognitive thinking which is essential in every aspect of their life. Our goal is to provide proper guidance and direction to our students to feel the magical experience by learning chess!
