A GLIMPSE OF OUR JOURNEY:

We began in 2004 with 20 children under a tree, having limited resources. With a heart full of love we taught them Spoken English and offered them a cup of Horlicks and two biscuits each.

In 2006 we rented a terrace and provided free tuition's to 62 children. From there on began the journey of providing a nutritious meal.

Presently, we are a team of Mentors, Teachers & Volunteers who work round the clock in providing one nutritious meal & Tutoring 110 under-privileged children everyday. Also counseling & mentoring their emotional & psychological needs.

OUR VISION:

To support a nurturing environment for well-being of children in the vulnerable circumstances in slum areas.

WHY RAKSHAK? :

• Most of these children come from broken families, destitute situations & hopeless poverty.
• They are forced to give up their education and take up menial labor jobs to support themselves & their families.
• It is our intent to break this cycle of poverty by offering them a way out through RAKSHAK.
