About Elshaddai Global Mission Trust in Adambakkam, Chennai

Elshaddai Global Mission Trust is an emerging Christian humanitarian organization working to create lasting changes in the lives of children, teens, youths, families and communities living in poverty and injustice. We serve all people regardless of religion, caste, race, ethnicity or gender, working through immediate personal development and long-term sustainable community development programmes.

All development work carried out by Elshaddai Global Mission Trust is focused on building the capacity and ability of families and communities to ensure the well-being of children, teens and youths. The well-being of children includes ensuring that children have access to education, health, shelter and facilities to compete with the mainstream world.

Elshaddai Global Mission Trust is planning to partner with Churches, mission organisations, friends, families, communities, civil societies, corporations, academia, and faith based organizations to build the lives of missionaries who have sacrificed lives for Christ and transform the nation to be fit for children.

Vision:
Our vision for Elshaddai is to find needy citizens from the poorest communities and help them achieve their freedom to live, formulate ways to achieve education and mould them as leaders through the power of love and kindness that Christ showed on the Cross.

Elshaddai Global Mission Trust is an organization with a passion to serve people in need and also works for the welfare of missionary workers. Our primary work consists of

We are now stationed in Chennai and are presently working in the following places:
1.Sambalpur (Odisha)
2.Dharmapuri (Tamil Nadu)

Tuition Centres:
With the matchless grace of God, we have established six tuition centres at Sambalpur (Odisha) and two at Dharmapuri (Tamil Nadu). An average of 40 students benefit per tuition centre. Through tuition centres, we not only help children, but we are also able to educate their parents and bring social awareness towards cleanliness and how to build a happy family through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Medical Camps:
A number of medical camps are organized at our fields. Witnessing the response and adhering to the request of the people, we conducted more medical camps than the number we had already planned.

Social Reforms:
We help people to live with dignity and self-respect by training them in some skills. We train men and women in various different fields. Women were trained in skills like basket weaving, bag making and tailoring. We have started a Tailoring Centre at Sambalpur, Odisha. Presently, 19 students benefit through our centre at Sambalpur and 40 students benefit at Dharmapuri. In addition to tailoring, we also teach them craft work. We also plan to start two more tailoring classes in the surrounding villages. Men are trained in electrical works. Youth are being trained in Computer knowledge as computer is becoming a basic necessity of life.
Our social reforms also includes Prison Ministry. We visit the women’s prison where we meet the prisoners and counsel them. We provide them with snacks and sanitary products and also teach them art work.

Scholarships:
Students from very poor background and who score well are given scholarships for their higher studies. Students whose parents are working as missionaries are given priority for scholarship. Currently, two students are supported by Elshaddai and are studying Diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing Assistant from The Sankara Nethralaya Academy (TSNA), Chennai - Tamil Nadu.
