ASTRA is the short name for 'Association of Soft Skills Training'. It is an association that brings together all those who are involved in improving Soft Skills of corporate employees, managers, business people, students, individuals and thus improving their happiness, success and quality of life.

ASTRA was launched in the year 2008 with the main objective to propagate Soft Skills to students, corporate employees, managers, business people, individuals and anyone whose student, professional or personal life can benefit from practice of Soft Skills.
ASTRA is registered under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act and is headquartered in Chennai.

The association will strive to provide a strong platform for anyone who wants to propagate Soft Skills to corporate employees, managers, business people, students, individuals and anyone whose professional, student or personal life can benefit from practice of Soft Skills.

ASTRA will propagate the necessity of Soft Skills training to all individuals who desire to be successful - including corporate employees, managers, business people, students, individuals. This society will define and maintain a set of standards in the Soft Skills Training industry so that the recipients of this training gets truly benefited.

It will frame and maintain a code of professional ethics and general standards of professional conduct and practice among Soft Skills Trainers. It will also define and maintain a set of standards under which Soft Skills Trainers can be evaluated and certified thus improving the quality of service consumers/recipients will receive from trainers.

Members of ASTRA will be active independent/freelance Soft Skills Trainers and companies that provide Soft Skills Training.
