The India Cements Limited has been taking an abiding interest to provide liberal education in arts, culture, science, technology and sports.
It has been running educational institutionS like Bala Vidyalayas and Higher Secondary Schools at Sankarnagar, Sankaridrug and Chilamkur (A.P) and a Polytechnic at Sankarnagar helping nearly 7000 strong student community for the past four decades.
The Management is very keen to extend its vista in the area of higher education.
With this end in view, The India Cements Limited has established a Society by name, The India Cements Educational Society (Regd.) in 1994.
To begin with, this agency promoted a self – financing undergraduate Co-educational College of Arts and Science during the academic year 1996 – 1997.
It has subsequently become a Post Graduate Institution in 2001.
The College believes that education does not end in a class room.
The College is interested in the all-round development of students who will play an important part in building a tradition that will endure for years to come.
It also envisages fostering of an atmosphere of clam and collective intellectual zeal and moral rectitude which will go a long way in enabling the present day youth of our country to find fulfillment and achieve greatness as eminent men of service.
