Founded in 1999 in Chandigarh, by Mr.Ramesh Kumar Nibhoria.

For the country’s many farmers crop waste is just that, a waste product that often has to be burned to make way for new planting. For Nishant Bioenergy P Ltd, these are two issues that can be dealt with in tandem.

The solutions are converting these waste in to valuable fuel for cooking or industry. Nishant Bioenergy devel;oped innovative cook stoves for community use and has design such as "Sanjha Chulha" (combined stove). It is designed specifically for institutional scale cooking. It is clean and efficient, but best of all it is fuelled by the crop waste produced by local farmers. This waste is sold by the farmers to local biomass briquette/pellet plants that compress it in to logs. Estimates suggest that farmers’ annual income is 10% higher as a result of selling on the waste.

With the development of a smaller Earth Stove for roadside food stalls , company canteen, restaurants etc has been a major success with nearly 2000 sold (2014) . With each stove saving 10 tonnes/year CO2 economic and environmental benefits go together. Nishant Bioenergy also manufacture state of the art pellet making plants and as on date (2014 ) more than 10 such plants are operations in India and Nepal.
