About Darunnujoom Orphanage Perambra in calicut kerala, Calicut

No society can progress without the upliftment of the orphaned and the downtrodden children, who are by no means an insignificant part of any society. It is indeed the obligation of the society to provide protection and pave the path to build up a purposeful life for these unfortunate souls. Is it not our responsibility to bring them up from this life of utter despair and helplessness by providing them with the basic amenities and by leading them to a life of hope?
This sense of social obligation awakened a group of dynamic dedicated philanthropists to the cause of the upliftment of these down-trodden children, especially the unfortunate orphans. The outcome of this noble awakening marked the humble beginning of Darunnujoom Orphanage atPerambra in 1971, in a rented building with only 20 inmates.
Now, after two decades the Darunnujoom has taken its deep root, with His grace, in the heart of hundreds of orphans who have received parental protection and guidance in achieving a purposeful life. This has given a lot of expectation to the society.
With the great blessings of Allah, the Almighty, and also with the co-operation of the community we have endured and are positively on the way to progress. The number of inmates has increased from a meager twenty in the beginning to about 165
