About The Kagyu Monlam in Bodhgaya, Buddha Gaya

Kagyu Monlam Chenmo is an annual event of collective aspiration organized under the guidance of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa.

Every year in Bodhgaya, under the Bodhi Tree (place where Buddha attained enlightenment) Gyalwa Karmapa together with Rinpoches, high lamas, thousands of monks and lay devotees pray for the world peace and benefit of all sentient beings.

Kagyu Monlam usually takes place in december or january.
