About Aksharika Education Foundation in 203, Kolar Colony, Bhopal

Aksharika is a fresh, young and spirited approach to non-formal education in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. We use innovative modules to promote primary education, girl child education, literacy in children and women, child and women rights, gender, environment and health awareness.

We have organized 14 creative library units in 8 slums, 70 grass-root activities and public events, and achieved an outreach of over 1000 child beneficiaries across 14 slums between 2013 and 2017. We dream to create a team of teachers and trainers by skill development of community youth.

CURRENTLY PLANNING sustainable modules for our 3 Core Projects – Library Project for slum children, Self Training for girls, and Literacy Classes for women.
