About Baba Farid Group of Institutions in Muktsar Road, Bhatinda

Baba Farid Group of Institutions is managed by Baba Farid Vidyak Society which was founded in 1993 under the encouraging patronage of prominent educationists of Malwa Region of Punjab. The society aims at providing quality education at affordable fee along with preparing the young minds to face the competitive world on all fronts. The lush green campus, spread over 50 acres, is situated 4 kms. away from the municipal limits of Bathinda city on Bathinda-Muktsar Road. The campus offers a host of hi-tech ultra modern facilities to ensure well planned education to its students.

Baba Farid Group of Institutions is being managed efficiently by its Managing Director Mr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal (Bharat Jyoti Awardee), an eminent educationist. Baba Farid Group of Institutions has the honour to have S. Mantar Singh Brar a notable social worker committed to the cause of spreading education in the Malwa Region as its President cum Chairman. The management includes prominent and dedicated educationists as its worthy members along with some notable NRIs from U.K., U.S.A. and Canada. Baba Farid Group of Institutions aims at building human minds. The group is determined to prepare a team of young scholars who are enthusiastic enough to rise to the need of the hour and resolved to fight the evils of the society.The curriculum framed for imparting education inculcates the ideas of humanism, modesty, morality and spiritual values. We try to revitalize the spirit of patriotism which has received a set back in recent times by inspiring the students to follow the great legacy of our rich cultural heritage.

We do not believe in shortcuts to success and our career path over the last 17 years stands a witness to this fact. We began our educational journey with the establishment of a school in 1993 with the introduction of nursery class only. During this journey, we continually experimented with educational practices. The inferences drawn from such experiments have widened our exposure in the field of education, leading to the emergence of Baba Farid Group of Institutions as a premier educational institute. Prior to this establishment, the western educational systems were comprehensively studied and thoroughly analysed.

Emphasis is laid to correlate theory with practice. For this, industrial visits and live interaction with successful entrepreneurs and senior executives are arranged on regular basis. In addition, teaching methodology has been upgraded by making use of latest technologies like digital smart boards in class rooms and Power Point Presentations. Realising the responsibility concomitant with being a premier educational institute, research activities have been initiated, laying stress on creativity and innovation. To promote this end, 'Department of Research and Development ' has been instituted.

Employability is the need of the hour. Education is all about nurturing your thoughts and actions in such a way that you are the fittest to survive in this era of cut throat competition. To achieve on these aims, Department of Training & Placement has been established to promote in-plant training for producing great young Managers, Technocrats and Entrepreneurs . In order to guide the students about career options and to counsel them Department of Career Guidance & Counselling also has been established in the institute.

Further, high cost of education has put an enormous burden on the students as well as their parents. Moreover, the deteriorating Indian work culture is turning this problem into a crisis. To overcome this crisis, we try to alleviate this pressure by providing part-time on-campus employment to students during the course of their studies, as practised in western educational systems.

Our ultimate aim is to turn Baba Farid Group of Institutions into Baba Farid University with the core motive of redesigning the curriculum to meet the expectations of the ever changing global socio economic system and to mould the students into socially responsible human beings.
