History

Centum Electronics was founded in 1994 as a small bangalore-based start-up producing hybrid microelectronic products for niche applications. Since then, Centum has rapidly grown into a diversified electronics company operating across different industry segments and offering a broad range of products and services. It has continuously invested in strengthening its design capabilities and establishing truly world-class manufacturing facilities which today are spread across 4 locations in Bangalore.

Another key contributor to Centum's growth has been the strong JV partnerships forged with Multinational corporations (C-MAC, Solectron, Rakon) that have enabled the company to establish a global presence and bring value to a range of customers. Most importantly, Centum's customer-focused approach coupled with its core-values of Technology-Teamwork-Trust has resulted in a track-record of high quality products & services and excellent execution ability.
Structure

Today, the Centum Group's offerings range from customized product design & development, manufacturing services and turnkey solutions for mission-critical applications in the Space, Defence, Aerospace, Industrial, Medical and Communications market. Revenues are also evenly distributed by geography as shown below.

The group has four operating units each lead by a strong and experienced management team.

Centum EMS- The Electronics Manufacturing Services business unit addresses high-mix low-medium volume products in the defence, aerospace, industrial, medical and telecom segments. The offerings include PCBA, box build, test, repair & return services among others.

Centum Strategic Electronics- The Strategic Electronics Business Unit offers design services and develops electronics products for defence and space customers. Centum is a leading industry partner for India's DRDO labs, Defence PSUs as well as key international defence companies in several critical programs. It is also a key partner for the Indian Space Research Organization having delived mission critical electronics on almost all satellite programs over the last decade.

Centum Rakon- Centum Rakon, a joint venture between Centum Electronics Ltd, India and Rakon Ltd, New Zealand, is engaged in the design and manufacturing of high performance frequency control products for the Telecommunications, Industrial, Defense, Aerospace and Space markets. The product range includes OCXO, TCXO, VCXO, clock oscillators and filters.

Centum Industries- Centum Industries is engaged in the manufacturing of molds, press tools, molded components, stamped components and assemblies.They provide low cost solutions to various engineering requirements in the field of plastics and sheet metal for the electronics, automotive and ecletromechanical industries.
